Sometimes, a hug is all what we need. Free hugs is a real life, even controversial story of Juan Mann, a man whose sole mission was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.
Lots of comments. Some interesting links from the comments:
A friend of mine just returned from the BurningMan Festival with pictures of a Hug Deli. This is not her photo but it is one I found through Flickr of it, you can select the type of hug…and can be either hugger or huggee…though I suppose it all blends in the action: (see link)

whatever your motto,
and whatever your mission is in life...

This is the name of the game
"Hug One, hug for LIFE!"

This video is great...part of what's wrong in the world is there are too few huggers...there's more than enough love to go around it just isn't shared...if we share the love then the world becomes a happier, more peaceful place

Why do people fear a hug? A simple smile & a hug is free to give & receive. Spreading cheer dosn't make U queer. Come on, we are NOT getting hitched or having sex, really! HUG ME!!

Thanks for posting this - what a beautiful way to start the day! And I agree with the previous posts arms are made for hugging, mouths for smiling too and sboth are so easy to give away freely. Lots of hugs and smiles.

I 'get' that it takes strength to display affection publicly with people not in your immediate circle--given that social custom has us repress our expression of the desire to be connected. It's strange how we get ourselves all bent out of shape about sharing love. But holy jumpin' catfish--we have a cure for cynicism! A cure for resignation! For alienation! My thanks to Juan and the people who are adding their links, like the Hug Deli at BurningMan and the Random Hugger Day event. It's unbelievably inspiring. You know what they say-one positive thought is more powerful that 10 negative ones. At the rate we're going, who know's what's gonna get created out there. Love to all of you.

It's very nice, but the situation is hugging is good but it is not proposed by all especially ladies and if a person hugging all kinds of humans like beggers, lepracy, ugly persons also
then he is real humanbeing.hug with true love not with affection.
