About Sound Therapy

Sound therapy involves singing, song writing, and music-facilitated relaxation with the patient and/or family, providing a positive, pleasant environment for everyone.

Sound therapy may enhance memory recall, build awareness of self, increase positive mood, reduce stress, provide social interaction, and improve quality of life for patients and their family members.

Patient, Family and Hospice Staff Quotes:

“It was wonderful to hear her talk about her past and it really helped her relax. She became more alert.” - Patient’s family

“I’m as happy as a lark. Music is the most beneficial thing you can do for anyone; sick or well.” -Respite patient
