Trishna asked for numbers the other day, for a Google.org survey, and it reminded me of a 2004 blog post titled, McDonalds numbers. :)

So, here's a 2008 version of that table (most of which was shared at the last Tiger Team meeting):

CharityFocus.org 226.2K total subscribers, 187.8K active, 48.3K members, 13.7K volunteers In 2008: 100K new subscribers, 50 million emails sent.  Growth is exponential. CF site is more of thin  container; most of the action is decentralized.
HelpOthers.org 56.4K subscribers, 5.9K Smile Group members 850K cards printed to date, 23.2K order shipped, 9.8K kindness stories, 34.9K comments, 300K page views/month. 40 orders/day is 2008 average.  30-40 shippers worldwide help ship every week.
KarmaBucks is creating its own economy. :)
DailyGood.org, Thought of the Week 92.9K DG subscribers, and 55.6K TOW subscribers.  DG has sent daily email for more than 10 years straight! DG gets about 600K page views/month, 4.9K comments and 5.9K forwards (in 2008). DailyGood is heading toward web 2.0 revamp; TOW is now an aggregator,  looking for a new brand.
PledgePage.org, CFSites.org 6.8K sites on PP and 2.6K sites on CFSites. PP: $6M+ raised by users, 30.3M visitors have used the site. CFSites is primarily used by NGOs. Combining the back-ends of our two site-creation portals.

SmoothFeather

20.2K subscribers 285 videos, posting 4 new videos/week.  45.8K votes on videos, 604 comments, 6.9K forwards. 6 viral videos in the last year; one of them crossed 200K views!  Two SmoothFeather clips made it to YouTube homepage.  Looking to broaden that.
ProPoor.org 19.2K subscribers, 13.9K NGOs listed 5.7K email queries, 1.5K  announcements,  5.2 comments, 2.8K new items We provide *daily* development news for South Asia.
Conversations.org, iJourney.org, InspiringMessages 19.3K subscribers to works & conversation eNewsletter in 1.7 years. 172 stories online, 210 comments, 567 print subscriptions to w&c. Audio conversations are coming up. iJourney maybe consolidated soon; IM on auto-pilot.
Local: Wednesdays, Karma Kitchen, ... Decentralized posses, strongest in Bay-Area, LA, and NY, Bombay, Ahmedabad. Also in dozen other places, including Alaska! :) More than 20K people fed at Inter-galactic headquarters. :) KK drew 100's of volunteer hours and thousands of diners. Guest speaker events draw 100 people on 1-day notice. Organically formed local chapters, organized around Smile Card kindness and Wednesday-style meditation.

Over the last 9 years, our average budget has been something like $7.5K/year.   For those who believe that you can't make a difference without money, we're providing a baffling test case. :)
