I ran into an interesting mapping of the last 10,000 Smile Card orders in the US, that Matt had setup. It was a fascinating to see the distribution, pretty much across the US.
But that's just the US. We've been sending Smile Cards, now with distributed shippers across the globe, to many other countries too. In fact, 87 countries requested Smile Cards in 2007 with US, Canada, Lithuania, Brazil taking the top spot. In 2008, our orders increased another 35% to 15,085 as we shipped to 103 countries! Top nods for 2008 goes to:
United States: 7195, Lithuania: 2132, Brazil: 1490, Argentina: 955, Canada: 514, Russia: 483, United Kingdom: 322, India: 219, Chile: 165, Mexico: 155, Australia: 151, Portugal: 132, Malaysia: 117, Indonesia: 113, Peru: 111, Spain: 93, Philippines: 83, Ukraine: 78, Colombia: 41, New Zealand: 40, Italy: 39
If you want a visual, here's a world map of Smile Card orders:
What started out as a simple experiment is now quite a testimony to the power of generosity.

I'm surprised North Korea is still unmarked!

Pretty cool. I always liked those maps.
I had no idea that Lithuania was in second place.
How many countries are still Smile Card free? Doesn't look like many. I just notice Libya, Chad, Congo and Angola at a quick glance. I think there should be a drive to make sure Smile Cards have reached every country. :)
