Francisco "Pancho" Ramos Stierle is a Gandhian, who grew up in Mexico
and supports non-violent
activism. After 4 years of pursuing AstroBiology PhD at
UC Berkeley, he withdrew until UC ceases its involvement with
production of atomic bombs; most recently, he was an active partner
in the 21-month tree sitting campaign to save a several hundred year old
Oak Grove.
His motto is: "If you want to be a rebel, be kind. Human-kind,
be both."

Sukh Chugh is the founder of Be The Cause, a group of Los
Angeles based volunteers who are committed to "be the change they
wish to see in the world". After 9/11, they launched an annual
'Walk For Hope' that continues to this day and has attracted
thousands of people. All their work is offered as a pure gift,
without any solicitation. His goodbyes typically end with, "Love life,
brother."
