Thinking the things I think I know
Is the only thing that makes them so
If I knew less then maybe I'd find
There's more to all this than meets the mind.
Red wouldn't mean stop, green wouldn't mean go
If there were some things I just didn't know.
Near could be far and far near
Then could be Now, later, Here.
Things that I can't, maybe I could
Things that I wouldn't, maybe I would.
My head is so full of what is and what's not
That now all I know is all that I've got.
I dream the fantastic asleep and in bed
On waking I'm left with cold facts and some dread.
Sometimes I wish that I wasn't so wise
For I want the Adventure.
I want the Surprise.
